so you won't find Maid Marrion here, but you will find
plenty of merry men (and women too for that matter).
This restaurant and bar is everything a country pub
should be. Situated on the Northumbrian Military Road
near the historic Hadrian's Wall, the quality of the
food and drink is quite outstanding, and is a firm favourite
with locals and visitors from further afield. The peaceful
location in the heart of Roman Northumbria is a perfect
stating point for a tour of the locality, but once you
get in the restaurant or bar, beware - you won't want
to leave in a hurry. The decor is an Alladin's cave
of antiques and bric-a-brac, most of which can be purchased,
so it's a must for any antiques collector! And the very
reaonable prices means that no stealing from the rich
is necessary
