Two major CD-ROM projects were completed in 2001. Pictured right is a screen shot from Granada Learning's First Class Music, developed by TEEM. Sound Ideas' Jason Thompson was the main Designer/Developer on the project which presents over 20 interactive lessons on a range of musical topics.

"First Class Music is superb. It is proving to be the ideal way to include music in the homeschool program for my daughter, Carrie. She is 13 and has tuberous sclerosis complex and a form of autism with developmental delays, but she thrives on the computer. This program has beautiful graphics and animation, great lesson presentation, wonderful video clips, crisp sound, and appropriate evaluation techniques. It's fun, too -- definitely on the must-have list for any school or home!" Maureen Reyes, USA

"I absolutely LOVE First Class Music - it transcends all the other music software I have reviewed - in fact, your program is one of my better selling titles." Sue Bennett, Autism Coach

Also on the educational front, the Health and Safety in the Workplace CD-ROM, developed and designed by Sound Ideas for the High Gain Business Consultancy, takes adults with learning difficulties through a complete 11 Stage Health and Safety programme, with full assessment. The CD-ROM is available from Northumberland College's High Gain unit. Developers Jason Thompson and Dave Baker are pictured right, at the launch of the CD-ROM. Manufacturing in the Millennium

This award-winning CD-ROM was developed by Jason Thompson for TEEM Multimedia. The Client, Manufacturing Challenge, required a resource that would give school children a taste of manufacturing industries, and the disc takes the form of an interactive tour around a virtual factory.

First Class Music

One of the earliest specialist music CD-ROMs, this 6 disc set takes the user through the elements of music in a series of 52 graded lessons. Currently being redeveloped by Jason Thompson and Paul Slaughter for TEEM Multimedia, the original version has over 1,000 excerpts of sound and music, some of which were composed and recorded by Jason.
